Scandalous Riesling
Wine
Patina Scandalous Riesling is made in an off dry style. Its relatively high amount of residual sugar – considered scandalous in Australian Riesling – inspires its name.
The fruit is grown in the cool climate Orange region in New South Wales. The region's high elevation, cool climate and intense sunshine are well suited to Riesling.
The grapes are handpicked with a high natural acidity and cool fermented in a stainless steel vat. Once the natural grape sugars and acid reach an ideal balance, the vat is moved into the freezer to halt the ferment.
Pale straw, Patina Scandalous Riesling is a fragrant, floral and fruity wine with inviting citrus flavours. Cellaring potential is five years.
